Dear PARENTS, I have VERY EXCITING NEWS to share, especially for BREASTFEEDING MOMS! The first week of August (1^st – 7^th August) is World breastfeeding week and Jashuat has started an initiative to CELEBRATE this week for all of us BREASTFEEDING MOMMIES with some PROMOTIONS lined up at participating restocafes. ESPECIALLY for us MOMS!

As some of you may know, one of the causes I am passionate about is breastfeeding, and I regularly share interesting articles on bf and my own bf experiences on my blogsite and fb page. After being inspired by an article I read and shared on my fb pg, where a British café offered a safe haven to bf moms to bf their child, I spontaneously decided that I NEEDED to do something for the breastfeeding cause and my fellow bf brethren. And what better time than World Breastfeeding Week?

And thus, on a mad, passionate whim, I crafted a note and reached out to well over 20 cafes and restaurants via fb and emails on 18 July, asking them to participate in my proposal for a “Dining Initiative to celebrate International Breastfeeding Week”.

GUESS WHAT? Though a number of restocafes declined, some due to the tight timeline, a few have responded positively. YAYYYYY!!! It makes me very happy to know that some of these restocafes are supportive of such a social cause, especially when I have known some mothers to be chased from certain establishments while breastfeeding their hungry, cranky bubs!

So all parents, whether you are breastfeeding or not, well, especially if you’re breastfeeding, do show some support to these restocafes that I will be listing below during the week of 1^st – 7^th August, where the following promotions will be run. It will be a great place for bf moms to relax at a restaurant/café where you will know WITH ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY that you can bf in peace with kindness and support from the staff, without being chased out or looked upon with the evil, scathing eye!

Daddies, please don’t think you have no part to play in a mom’s breastfeeding journey. YOU are absolutely crucial, and your support will help your wife in trying to give her best for your kid(s), so please take your wife out to such an establishment to honour her during this SPECIAL WEEK (and preferably not just the first week of August please!)
